HOW IT STARTED
Started in 2010, HorrorQuest begin as an idea for a movie night which was to be hosted by an Atlanta area comic book store. Originally the idea was to screen independently produced films made in the Atlanta area, HorrorQuest soon turned into a full Independent Film Festival.
HorrorQuest prides itself on being different, unlike other festivals HorrorQuest doesn't sell tickets. All festival screenings operate on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not offer advanced tickets, VIP pass, for save seats, even for filmmakers.
After eight years, HorrorQuest is still going strong. We welcome filmmakers from all over the world and receive hundreds of submissions each year. HorrorQuest has been praised by filmmakers such as Kevin Smith (Clerks, Tusk) and Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger, Class of Nuke'em High) for our business practices and was named one of, "The Ten Best Free Film Festivals Every Filmmaker Should Know About" by Movie Maker Magazine.
In the years to come HorrorQuest hopes to continue providing independently produced horror & genre films.
